Fes ~ Wednesday, September 5, 2018

We drove from Rabat to Fes this morning.  On the way, we stopped to see the cork trees.

Next we went to a market where people were selling fresh produce and fish.

We checked into our room in a Riad.  This is a large fancy house that used to hold a husband and his wives and children.  It has been converted into a guest house.  This is the ceiling of our room!

We went to a pottery place that makes very ornate pieces and tables.  This vase has designs that show tattoos like those that are on some women’s chins.  I purchased it after much negotiation.

Monday, September 3 ~ Overland to Rabat

Today the bus took us the Rabat.  We are staying on the first floor at Dawliz Hotel where our patio overlooks a river.  We decided to just relax and have lunch on the patio of the hotel restaurant. This evening at dinner we will meet the four new travelers who will join the group which will now consist of eight men and eight women.
